A yearly health check for your well — because nobody else is checking it.

Why it matters. If your home is on a private well, no city or county tests your water for you — private wells sit outside the public drinking-water rules, so the water is only ever checked when the owner arranges it. Wells change quietly: caps crack, seals age, pressure tanks tire, and bacteria can move in after storms, flooding or nearby ground disturbance, with no change in taste to warn you. In one Maryland statewide study, about 4 in 10 sampled wells tested positive for total coliform bacteria. An annual check is how small, cheap problems get found while they are still small and cheap.

Early discovery is the whole point. A failing cap or a tired pressure tank caught this year is a modest repair. The same fault found late can mean a contaminated well, a burned-out pump, or a full system replacement. The Well Check pairs the physical inspection with a laboratory water sample, so you see both how the equipment is doing and what is actually in the water.
